In contrast to my typical style, I opted for a more understated approach, delving into minimal detailing. With The Dexter Boot, I placed the zipper over the toe in a nod to Maison Margiela and the 15th century Japanese tabi sock. However, I was motivated by the challenge this placement posed. Taking away extraneous stitchings and embellishments, I aimed to highlight the boot's silhouette and the illusion of length achieved by the zipper.
The Dexter Boot was featured in the Office Punk fashion show hosted by the FADC Club at FIT in Fall 2024.
